Reflections on 2021 and Hopes for 2022

It’s been another year of twists and turns, ups and downs, many lessons learned and deeper appreciations felt. We’ve watched our friends and clients in healthcare face challenge after exhausting challenge. With every obstacle, the healthcare industry continues to seek ways to care for the vulnerable and we are in awe.

Although the Rpharmy team was hit with COVID-19, we are happy to say everyone is healthy and enjoying good and gratifying work. While we look to 2022 with hope, we’ve been reflecting on 2021.

Doing More and Better for Our Clients

At Rpharmy, we spent 2021 looking for ways to better serve our healthcare partners and their patients. Much of the first half of the year was dedicated to updating both Rhazdrugs and FormWeb based on your feedback. We’re always looking to improve the usefulness of our solutions and we were able to make tremendous strides in the amount of drug safety information we could easily provide at the point of care while also making it easier to access.

Rpharmy has always had a personal thread going through it that started with our loss of John’s mom due to a medical error. We continue to strive in everything that we do to improve patient and healthcare worker safety.

Back With Our Clients (Virtually) Again

Building strong relationships with our clients is one of our most treasured tenets. Some of you have been with us since the beginning (20 plus years); thank you for your support and partnership.

Usually, we’re on the road most of the year visiting with clients and meeting new ones, but of course, that wasn’t the case in 2020 and not as much as we had hoped for in 2021. We did finally get the hang of virtual meetings and reverse conferences which allowed us to (mostly) get our fix and see your faces.

In 2022 we hope to be able to safely meet you in person whether on-site or at conferences.

USP <800> Inspections Bounce Back

USP <800> continues to be a hot topic with more effort put into compliance as 2021 rolled on and healthcare organizations had the bandwidth to devote to this work. Inspectors also picked up the pace after nearly a full year on hiatus. The Rpharmy team stayed busy answering phone calls and emails to help clients prepare for inspections. We were energized seeing our calendars fill up again not only because we enjoy helping you, but also because this meant the COVID-19 load at hospitals was easing up some.

We expect this upward trend to continue in 2022 with an even greater focus on healthcare worker safety after COVID-19.

Personally, in 2021 we were able to watch our son marry in person while in 2020 we attended our daughter’s wedding virtually. The music lovers on the Rpharmy team attended live concerts again for the first time in over a year and others were able to safely travel for family celebrations and holidays. 2021 was the year of appreciation for Rpharmy. We realized 2020 what we often take for granted and in 2021 when we were able to enjoy some of “normal life” again, it was even sweeter.

From the Rpharmy team to you, we appreciate the time we spend with you and the work we do with you. We wish you a happy and healthy 2022.
